It can be installed outdoors (e.g., on a balcony or rooftop) or indoors. The water tank must be installed on a level surface at least 10 centimeters above ground level. If a canopy is installed, ensure the air-side heat exchanger is not affected by external environmental conditions, and ensure that its heat absorption and dissipation are not obstructed.
